The seventh chapter of the Chandogya Upanishad is the famous dialogue between the great sage Sanatkumara and his younger brother, turned disciple, Narada.
Narada approaches Sanatkumara, saying that he knows all the Vedas and ancillary literature, but still has not overcome sorrow. Naradji being such an exalted sage, despite possessing all types of secular knowledge, how come he was still not experiencing everlasting joy?
