Vedanta Unveiled 2019

INTRODUCTION

The ‘Vedanta Unveiled’ camp is a unique annual Vedantic Retreat with Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda organised by Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) at the sacred place of Adi Sankara Nilayam, the maternal birth home of Sri Adi Sankara. This year Pujya Guruji and Swami Advayananda will ‘unveil’ the subtle concepts of Vedanta through the Harimeede Stotram and Drk-Drshya-Viveka respectively.

ABOUT THE TEXT

Harimeede Stotram, also known as Haristuti, a renowned hymn composed by Sri Sankaracharya, presents and worships Lord Sri Hari as the supreme Reality, the Para-Brahman. Being is a unique Vedantic treatise presenting the sublime wisdom of the Upanishads in all its entirety, it is a 'must-study' for all seekers of Self-realisation.

Through Drk-Drshya-Viveka, Adi Sankaracharya helps us ascertain ‘who we are’ and guides us in meditation so that we can realise our true nature of unconditional bliss and end all sorrows for all the time.

The camp will cover the above two texts, Harimeede Stotram by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and Drk-Drshya-Viveka by Swami Advayananda

CAMP FACILITATORS
SwamiAdvayananda Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda is the former Head of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide, a position he held since 1993 after Swami Chinmayananda attained Mahasamadhi. If Swami Chinmayananda served the cause of Vedanta with his service, knowledge and pioneering qualities, Swami Tejomayananda – fondly addressed as Guruji – completed that with his natural attitude of devotion. This is richly and abundantly evident in his talks, his singing, and his demeanour. But the gentleness of devotion is arrived riding on the back of an intense education in physics, going up to a Master’s degree. Born, Sudhakar Kaitwade to a Maharashtrian family in Madhya Pradesh, this physicist had a close encounter that changed the velocity, direction and path of his life.
SwamiAdvayananda Pujya Swami Advayananda an accomplished teacher of Vedanta, has authored several books and courses at CIF. Swamiji was part of the team that researched and coordinated the Upanishad Ganga tele-serial that was broadcast by Doordarshan. He served as Acharya for two Vedanta Courses – the first in Tamil-English at Sandeepany Vidyamandir, Coimbatore and the second in English at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai. In the last decade, CIF has significantly expanded the publications and research work under Swamiji's guidance.
